There are so many stories to tell.
I haven’t had time to share with you all of my adventures as I want to spend my time concentrating on these adventures and not online, my hands on the laptop.
I get pretty good share of that in my work anyway.
But I’ve got an idea.
Maybe I could share some of my notes with you.
A few lines from my private journals, others from my Facebook memories, written and published there on the scene, at the spot, wherever I am and was.
Would you like to hear little memories from everywhere?
I’ve never had time to search through my pics.
Once I’ve sent the ones my clients need I close the file and never return to those.
What a shame that those pics are never seen by the public.
I’m not saying that I am the master of photography (uh, my degree is actually that), but I just feel these places and people afford to be seen.
So I’ll try this: I’ll be publishing unedited lines = director’s cut from my notebooks (originally handwritten on actual paper) and also Facebook memories.
Later ones from the last 14 or so years and paper ones from those ancient times.
Yeah, I am that old.
This first one doesn’t have too many photos, as I am just trying this out to hear what you think about it.
Please tell me in the comments if you want more or nah, just keep up the new material coming up!
Also, sorry, most of these posts will be in my native Finnish as I write 80 % of my stuff in my mother tongue on my notes.
But, as I said, I had an idea to share all those tons of photos that have never been published.
So if you like my idea, you’ll be getting photo galleries from all around the world.
Well, almost. If you like my work you are very welcome to send me to Antarctica (aka paying for my trip).
Shibu Onsen, Japan
October 29th, 2017
This country is amazing.
We made a wish to visit local onsens in Shibu.
A few days ago we got a support letter from a local woman to be given to a local man, who could borrow us keys to visit those 9 onsens, of which only one is accessible for non-locals.
And as we met him, he started to talk about access.
Then I handed him the letter we got.
He was smiling very warmly when he heard of his friend that he hadn’t seen for a long time.
And we got the key.
Tonight I wrote my first-ever Japanese letter to thank him, and we will bring this to his mailbox in the morning before we’ll leave.
Not perfect Japanese, but I hope he will understand what I was trying to say.
I will tell the whole story on my blog later on.”
“Last night in Shibu.
Our receptionist said she will prepare us a private onsen for our last bath here as she knows we love onsens.
Very hard to leave this place.
I just hate farewells with people that I don’t know if we can ever meet again.
But I wish we will make it back someday.
Tomorrow to Kanazawa.”
